About the Doctors
Dr. Domenic Riccobono, D.D.S.
Dr. Domenic Riccobono is a warm and caring professional dedicated to the highest standards and quality care in a comfortable environment. He was named America’s Top Dentist 2009 by the Consumer Research Council of America. As the owner of Countryside Dental, he offers the region all the benefits of a modern day dental practice while keeping the office’s personal touch.
Dr. Riccobono provides a full range of dental care, including cosmetic (veneers and bonding), fixed and removable prosthetics (bridges), implants placement and restoring, endodontics (root canal), invisalign, periodontics (bone graft) and the treatment of TMJ and muscle related issues.
Dr. Riccobono continues to fine tune his technique, with continuing his education and updates in dental procedure and products. He is a graduate of the Misch Implant and Nash Cosmetic Institute. He most recently is a graduate of Implant Institute with Dr. Garg and Advance Training with Dr. Spears and his Seattle Institute. Dr Riccobono’s professional affiliations are with: American Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry and the Ninth District Dental Society. He supports the local community by volunteering to local charities and schools such as: Nature Walk and February Dental Health Month.
Dr. Riccobono practiced in Poughkeepsie, New York for eight years. In 2003, he obtained an established practice in Columbia County where he continues the fine tradition of Dr. Mesick and Dr. Cohn. Since 2003, he has renovated and refurbished the office with the latest in digital x-ray, digital imaging system in all the rooms, nitrous oxide (laughing gas), soft tissue laser, and CEREC machine (same day crowns), to improve the comprehensive care for his patients.
Dr. Riccobono, a resident of the Hudson Valley for more than 15 years, is a conservationist, environmentalist and father. He enjoys spending time with his wife Jolene, three sons and his Laborador Retrievers in the outdoors. In his free time, he participates in boating, fishing, clay shooting and taking nature walks.
Dr. Vicki E. Cohn, D.D.S.
Dr. Vicki Cohn, who was chosen as one of Hudson Valley’s Top Dentists in 2008, has been a part of the Chatham community for more than 20 years, providing a full range of dental care including cosmetic dentistry and veneers, implant reconstruction, endodontics (root canals), periodontics (gum treatment) and orthodontics using Invisalign treatment and TMJ Therapy for sore and damaged joints and muscles.
A native of the Capital Region, Dr. Cohn grew up in Delmar, New York and graduated from Bethlehem Central High School and Simmons College in Boston. She is a 1984 graduate of the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, she participated in the Minors Program in Fixed Prosthodontics at SUNY and the Dr. G.H. Leak Memorial Cancer Fellowship Program at the prestigious Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo. Dr. Cohn received many other awards and scholarships while in Dental School.
Dr. Cohn completed her general practice residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY in 1985. She practiced briefly in Gouverneur, New York, and opened her Chatham practice in 1987.
Dr. Cohn is constantly updating and honing her skills and knowledge by participating in programs at advanced training centers throughout the country, including the prestigious Dawson Academy, Dental Education Laboratories, Nova Southeastern University and Boston University. Dr. Cohn is also a participating member of The American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, The Seattle Study Club, the Capital District Continuum of Advanced Dental Education and the Third District Dental Society.
Dr. Cohn is dedicated to using advanced technologies to provide superlative care for her patients. She performs all procedures, including fillings, crowns, cosmetic dentistry, implants, periodontal plastic surgery, bridges and root canals using microsurgical techniques and tools including surgical telescopic glasses and a high-powered surgical microscope. At the same time, she believes in using non-surgical treatment alternatives whenever appropriate. Most importantly, she is dedicated to keeping her patients comfortable and relaxed.
An avid sportswoman, Dr. Cohn enjoyed competitive rowing for many years, but now limits her activities to skiing, biking, hiking and horseback riding. She also finds time to garden and travel.
